West Acre- 03/11/2019

What an absolute gem of a place! From the moment we arrived we were stunned by the “wow” factor – the love and attention gone in to this home (that’s what it feels like after 10mins) is surpasses only by the luxury touches at every turn! Our group (8-80yrs) all fell in love with West Acre, and it’s certainly an achievement pleasing everyone! From watching movies in the Cinema room, relaxing in the Hot Tub and Sauna, spinning vinyls old school style to Killer Pool competitions and a marathon “Risk” game – there was so much to keep us busy. Despite the uncertain weather we even got some Table Tennis in too! There really is enough to keep you entertained here for weeks…in fact I’d be more than happy to test that!
The grounds are set back in a beautiful village with a fab Fish & Chip shop but close enough to more hustle and bustle if that’s what you want. We visited the local pub (walkable) and were impressed by the local’s friendliness. We also sampled the Carvery at the local Golf club, we found it thoroughly enjoyable and had the weather not been changeable (or the fact I squeezed a indulgent pudding in) we would have liked to have a go on the Driving range.

The hosts cannot be praised enough either, Jeff and Vicki helped make the holiday all the more special with the reassuring contact and advice, a beautiful welcome pack and even offering to collect something for us that saved us a trip! After having the pleasure to meet them both it is clear to see how they have created something so special being so lovely themselves! It’s impressive what can be achieved when people clearly love what they do and do it so well! I almost don’t want to share how fabulous it is here as it feels like our special place but that in itself means I simply have to recommend it anyone looking for somewhere amazingly spectacular to create some life lasting memories! If in doubt, go for it…..you will NOT be disappointed! The only downside was not staying longer, having to leave at all (we did a one point start discussing squatters rights) oh and not finding the time to try out the Pickled Postie….sounded lovely!
Jeff and Vicki – thank you both again for making our break so special, we look forward to visiting again in the future!
