Here are a number of questions we are often asked which you many find helpful.
Yes, the easiest and quickest way of booking a holiday home with us is using our on-line booking software. Please note you can only book online for our most commonly requested booking slots. All bookings, including on-line bookings are subject to final confirmation from Celebration Holiday Homes.
Yes, you can either confirm and pay for one of the available holiday booking slots or you can call us on 01937 222120 to reserve your booking. A slot will be reserved for 48 hours.
If you want to book a period that is not available on-line or you would prefer to speak to someone directly the easiest way is to enter your details on-line of what you would like and request a call back. Alternatively or you can call us directly during our standard office hours on 01937 222120.
Our properties are all large celebration homes and generally take a minimum of a full day to turn around and ensure they are ready and presented to the 5 star levels that we want our guests to enjoy. For this reason as standard practice we do not offer same day changeovers, our normal ‘week’ is 6 nights arriving Friday afternoon and leaving Thursday morning. If a 7 night week period is required this can be requested and the owner will then confirm if they can accommodate this request.
We confirm all bookings in writing by email once the deposit or full payment (if required) has been made. If you have not received this confirmation please contact us immediately to ensure your booking is valid. Please refer to our booking terms for full details of our booking terms and conditions.
Deposits (being 30% of the holiday price) or a full holiday payment (if necessary) are due at the point of booking. If you are booking via our website you can pay online using our secure payment facility. If you have contacted us directly we can take payment over the telephone, please ensure you have your payment card details available. If your booking is more than 3 months away we will only request a deposit payment initially. If your booking is less than 3 months away we will require full payment.
We will email you a reminder when your balance is due to be paid. Please call us and ensure you have your payment card details available when you receive this reminder.
Access instructions for our holiday homes can vary, they may be accessed via a key safe or the property host will meet you on arrival. Your Celebration Welcome Pack will include details about how to arrange access to the property.
After you have made full payment for your holiday we will send you your Celebration Welcome Pack. This gives you all the information we think you will need about your holiday home and the support available to you from Celebration Holiday Homes and your host to ensure you have everything you need to organise and enjoy your perfect celebration break. As well as details about the home, the pack includes contact details about your property host, directions on how to access and get to the property as well as information about the local area.
The Property Host (often the owner) is the person responsible for the property and for ensuring that your holiday runs as smoothly as possible. Details of your host will be included in the Celebration Welcome Pack and unless you have contacted them earlier, your property host will contact you normally 4 weeks before your holiday to ensure everything you need has been supplied and to give you the benefit of their local knowledge; they will be able to help and offer advice on anything you may want to arrange in the area. They will normally conduct a welcome meeting where they will be able to show you how everything in the property works and they will be your direct local contact should anything go wrong whilst you are at your holiday home.
We try to ensure that all our properties are as accessible as is possible and all our properties will have an access document that will detail any potential accessibility issues. We advise that details of any accessibility requirements are recorded on our booking request form, however we would also strongly recommend that if you have any accessibility requirements that you call us at Celebration Holiday Homes on 01937 222120 to confirm the property is suitable for your specific needs.
Unless otherwise stated all holiday homes are available from 4pm on the day of arrival and not before. You must depart by 10am on the day of departure. If you require an early arrival or late check-in it may be possible to arrange this directly with your property host, however no such guarantees are available.
Yes, towels for every confirmed guest are provided and all beds will be made up ready at your holiday home.
Yes, all of our holiday homes provide all the normal expected cleaning products, bin bags etc. We will also provide complimentary tea, coffee and a selection of standard cooking ingredients and condiments.
Most of our holiday homes that are pet friendly will accommodate up to 2 well behaved dogs. No other pets are permitted at our properties. You must advise us prior to paying your deposit if you intend on bringing any pets with you. Some of our homes do not allow any pets and therefore you may be refused access should you arrive with a pet without previous notification. Please refer to the pet section on our terms and conditions for further stipulations on bringing pets to one of our holiday homes.
All of our holiday homes are strictly no smoking, including any outside areas belonging to the holiday home unless clearly designated as a smoking area.
The majority of our holiday homes are child-friendly and will provide a cot and/or high chair on request. You must however advise us of this request at the point of booking. Please note some of our properties are unsuitable for young children so please advise us of the make-up of your party at the point of booking.
We do not provide any insurance cover in terms of cancellation and we strongly recommend you have adequate insurance in place to cover this yourself. Celebration Holiday Homes cannot be held liable for any cancellation costs incurred by you in the event of cancelling your holiday with us.
Our Celebration Welcome Pack will be sent to you on receipt of the full balance payment. This will detail what is provided in the cottage, however if you have any specific requirements please contact us and we would be happy to check if these are available.
In the first instance you should always contact the property host. Contact details are provided to you in your Celebration Welcome Pack and the host will make contact with you before your holiday and will normally meet you at the holiday home for your welcome meeting. Should you be unable to contact your host you should email or call us on 01937 222120 and we will try our best to contact the host on your behalf. Please note we are only on the office number during normal office hours Monday – Friday. We do however also monitor our information email firstname.lastname@example.org over non-office hours.
Your property welcome pack will include details on parking and location etc. Please contact Celebration Holiday Homes to provide this for you should you not have received it following your booking confirmation.
The majority of our properties will not provide a landline for personal use and we strongly recommend you bring a mobile phone with you. Please note some of our cottages are in areas with sporadic mobile reception. All of our holiday homes provide internet access with Wi-Fi.
We will endeavour to return all lost property items on request, we reserve the right to make any returns at your cost. Please note we cannot accept any liability for any property left behind. In the first instance please contact your property host to clarify if the item has been found.
You are welcome to bring additional guests along provided this does not exceed the maximum occupancy of the holiday home. All changes and additions must however be notified and accepted by us prior to arrival to ensure the relevant bed linen etc. is provided. Please note, for insurance purposes our holiday homes have very strict limitations on the maximum number of guests; failure to advise Celebration Holiday Homes correctly of your party size and make-up may result in cancellation of your booking and/or being asked to vacate the property.
The majority of our properties are within a delivery catchment area for most of the main supermarkets. To arrange a delivery we suggest that you check the holiday home postcode on your chosen supermarket’s online delivery website. We recommend you do not arrange delivery for the day of arrival as this can cause problems should you be delayed.
You should ensure that the property is left in a tidy condition with everything put away and/or returned to where it was when you arrived. This includes disposing of any rubbish correctly and according to the instructions provided at the property.
Some of our Holiday Homes will accept bookings from responsible single sex parties, however these properties may require higher security deposits. You should clearly state your party make-up at the point of booking to confirm that this is possible. Failure to advise us of this may result in cancellation of your booking and/or being asked to vacate the property.
Most of our properties require that a security deposit is paid directly to the owner prior to arrival. Full details of the security deposit and how to pay it will be included in the Celebration Welcome Pack. The security deposit is to cover potential damage at the property over and above normal wear and tear and is fully refundable should no such damage occur. Dogs should not be left alone at any time in the holiday home, even if you have a cage or crate. Even experienced dogs can become agitated and bark if left alone for a period of time especially in a strange environment.
No we cannot guarantee this. If you have an allergy to dogs it is important to check with us on the suitability of a particular holiday home before booking.
None of our holiday homes charge extra for heating or energy.
The holiday home will normally provide enough wood for your use if it has advertised a wood stove is available or your stay. The supply of wood can however vary from property to property. Please check with us in advance if you want to confirm the wood supply for your particular holiday home.
