At West Acre after a day engaged in activities with family or friends, there comes a time when guests just want to relax and take a bit of time out.

One of the outstanding features of West Acre is our totally private first floor terrace, this is our outdoor sanctuary. The terrace can be accessed from the first floor or via the external steps to the garden. The terrace looks out over open fields, it is Southwest facing and gets the very best of the sun all afternoon and evening.

On the terrace you will find a six-seater hot tub, seating area and sun loungers, perfect for taking in some sun and relaxing (Parasols are provided if it’s too hot). Just inside from the terrace you will also find a six-seater Swedish sauna. All our guests are supplied with towels, robes and disposable slippers to make sure they can make the best of the sauna, hot tub and the whole terrace area. Or just relax and enjoy the great views over the surrounding fields where if you are lucky, you can sometimes see deer, foxes and the plentiful local birdlife. The terrace is the perfect spot to relax, there is even an adjoining small kitchenette just off the terrace with a small fridge to keep drinks perfectly chilled It really is the perfect spot to enjoy your favourite evening cocktail and relax in our comfy outdoor seating area, hopefully with a perfect sunset behind you.

There are plenty of spots around West Acre where guests can escape the group, maybe enjoy a coffee from our ‘Grind’ coffee maker and grab a book from the library and enjoy a small moment of peace and quiet. Don’t miss out on cake time though, every group at West Acre gets a huge luxury cake made to order by one our favourite local bakeries

In the winter and Autumn months we have a cosy log burning stove in the main lounge which comes with an unlimited supply of free logs, the whole ground floor will also be toastie warm to walk on due to our underfloor heating powered by a ground source heat pump and solar panels.
