The closest town to West Acre is the market town of Selby⛪️
Selby is around a 10 minute drive from West Acre and is worth a visit just to see the spectacular Abbey in the town centre. There are also some great independent shops including a cheese shop and record store💿
Selby had a number of pubs and restaurants which can accommodate larger groups with prior knowledge. If you’d like some recommendations on our favourite places to go to eat or drink then just send us a message
You’ll also find most you large supermarkets as well as a number of other shops in case you have forgotten anything or need to top up on supplies during your stay🛒
Selby also has direct rail links to York, Leeds, Manchester, Hull, and London. This is perfect for day trips if you don’t fancy the drive - there is also a bus to York which runs very frequently🚂
